| Plot (German) | Auf der Insel Lummerland geht jeder seinem Tagwerk nach. Lukas fährt die Lokomotive Emma über die Insel, Frau Waas telefoniert mit dem König... Plötzlich liefert der Postbote ein Paket für eine Frau Mahlzahn, die es auf der Insel nicht gibt. Nach erfolgloser Suche öffnen die Bewohner das Paket und heraus kommt ein Baby, später Jim Knopf getauft. Um seine Herkunft zu ergründen, nehmen die beiden Freunde Lukas und Jim Knopf einiges auf sich - aber sie sind nicht allein auf ihrer Reise... |
| Plot (English) | Everyone goes about their day's work on the island of Lummerland. Lukas drives the locomotive Emma over the island, Mrs. Waas calls the king ... Suddenly, the postman delivers a package for a woman molar that does not exist on the island. After unsuccessful search, the residents open the package and out comes a baby, later christened Jim Knopf. To fathom his origins, the two friends Lukas and Jim Knopf take on a lot - but they are not alone in their journey ... |
